Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
The average course fee is 8625 AUD/ year.
The average course duration is 18 months.
What it entails
The qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing a curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialized knowledge and analyze and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for the supervision of volunteers or other educators.
Early childhood educators work in daycare centers, family daycare, pre-schools or kindergartens.
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of at least 280 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours.
Diploma of Community Services
The average course fee is 8148 AUD/ year.
The average course duration is 18 months.
What it entails
The qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in managing, coordinating and or delivering person-centered services to individuals, groups and communities.
At this level, workers have specialized skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and or case management, program coordination or the development of new business opportunities.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
Diploma of Nursing

The average course duration is 1.5 years.
What it entails
The qualification reflects the role of an enrolled nurse working under the supervision of a registered nurse. It covers the application of skills and knowledge required to provide nursing care for people across the health sector. A lifespan approach should underpin this qualification with relevant competencies that relate to the different stages of life identified within the units.
To be eligible to apply for registration as an enrolled nurse and to practice in Australia, you must complete a Diploma of Nursing program accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC), and approved as an approved program of study by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA ) following the Enrolled Nurse Accreditation Standards.
Diploma of Mental Health

Diploma of Paramedical Science

The qualification reflects the role of educators responsible for the day-to-day running of a regulated school-age education and care service in Australia. They plan, implement and manage programs across all areas of service operations. They use specialized knowledge and analyze and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. Educators have responsibility for the supervision of volunteers and or other staff.
Educators in this context work in outside school hours care and vacation care.
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of at least 280 hours of work with school-age children in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include a requirement for workplace hours.
